I found these colorful signs behind Ernie Morgan Environmental Action Center in Norfolk, VA before we moved. I thought it was the simplest step-by-step, how-to-start-your-own compost I’d ever seen. They also gave composting tips and showed examples of backyard compost bins. I wanted to pass them on. They might give someone an idea somewhere…..
Proof how simple composting really is!
From the research I’ve done, I’ve found the cities we’ve lived in will not recycle tops, period.
So, what to do with all these tops?
Been collecting for a while...
To my surprise, and after a year and a half of putting yogurt cups and styrofoam into the recycling bin, I discover Norfolk doesn’t recycle styrofoam or yogurt cups. Well, what do you know? I had to visit their website to find out what I COULD and COULD NOT recycle.
So what to do with all these pieces?
So many pieces to recycle for a bit of yogurt!
