Sustainable, handmade toy gift ideas

I found these ideas at the in-laws this summer.
And a big shout out to the both of them for the four extra hands when we moved in. Cannot thank you enough! We appreciate you both and all your help!

Take a peek at these homemade toys!

This teddy bear is a homemade bear sewn out of a flannel shirt from the late and great grandpa Ray. What a wonderful way to reuse and Grandpa Ray is remembered every time it is gazed upon.

Grandpa Ray also hand carved these cats that dangle playfully from the door. The baby loves them! She points at them every time she enters the room and says, "Kitty cats." That's how she learned the word!

What a wonderful way to celebrate any holiday or occasion. Make something for someone, use something you already have and give a memory, not just a gift.
You are missed Grandpa Ray.

  2. What a wonderful idea, you are an inspiration, the little girl obviously really loves her teddy, I can see. Beautiful work!

Tell me what you think. I don't get to answer comments like I did before baby but I read every single comment. And they really make my day!
