I found this idea–in none other than a McDonald’s magazine. It was such a great idea, I took a picture of it and thought I’d blog it out. I think some kid sent it in. So creative!
I may have cut off the bottom of the 3rd step. It says to thread string or twine through the holes, but you get the gist. It would be a fun little activity and now that winter is approaching, you’ll be able to watch the little birdies through your window, who will no doubt find your feeder.
I would consider this an upcycling project. Once the orange or grapefruit shrivels up, you can toss it in the compost bin.

Wow that is cool! I just hard birds chirping away on my balcony actually. I’m not sure if they’d come anyway, or it’s because I often leave a sauces with the little stuff that gets stuck in the drain holes to dry before adding it to my compost. It’s nice to hear their song!
Where does the bird rest it’s feet to eat or does it just sit at the edge of the grapefruit
