Last year, we were given a used bread machine and I simply never got around to trying it out. Boy, what was I thinking, right? As Mom Photographer said…Talk about making life easier. I threw all the ingredients in and three hours later…
BA-BAM! Irish Soda Bread. (I cheated and used Bob’s Red Mill this time but now that I know we like Irish Soda Bread, I’ll try it from scratch next time.) But, what was I thinking, again? It’s Irish and it’s bread. I mean, come on. What’s not to like?
I also tried banana nut bread, but honey, that didn’t even last long enough for a picture. It was already down my throat and in the tummy.
What kind of bread do you like to make or would you like to try?

FINALLY!!! Girl, what were you thinking not trying it sooner 😉
I’m happy you decided to try it, though!
I love my bread machine and many varieties, usually variants of whole wheat. My wife discourages my bread making! It is too good and she eats more than she would like!
@ Mom photographer—I know, it’s about time, right? Never go back.
@ Bishop—ha! That made me laugh. I have to watch my breadmaking too, or I too will eat too much!
I know why you hadn’t tied it sooner…
YOU DIDN”T HAVE KIDS!!! Lol
Now you know what time and energy saver the bread makes is!!!
Ha!
😉
I used to wish I had a breadmaker, but now I’m gluten free… well I still pine for one, and still don’t have one. I have one too many blender like things as we speak!
I don’t know what the deal was, but my bread machine results were horrible! I gave the machine away… the best bread I’ve ever made was a simple French Bread, and I made it by hand, no machine. The best ever… I couldn’t wait for it to cool to slice and slather butter all over it. It is topped with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and they give it such a great flavor.
